Skandia Team GBR

Skandia has been the title sponsor of Skandia Team GBR since 2006.

Skandia Team GBR is the British Sailing Team in the Olympic and Paralympic Classes.

The team is managed by the Royal Yachting Association, and is made up of approximately 70 sailors who compete in nine different classes. The sailors are backed up by support staff including coaches, nutritionists, meteorologists, psychologists and physiotherapists.

The athletes follow a training programme designed to help them achieve their dream of competing in the Olympic Games.

Each year the sailors of Skandia Team GBR compete in a World Cup series of regattas, plus the World and European Championships.

Skandia Team GBR has some of the world’s best sailors, with past and present European, World and Olympic Champions.

The team are consistently ranked as one of the world’s best and are regarded as the team to beat.
